Ingredient Technology | LiposoMax™ Liposomal Reduced Glutathione

This product provides 250 mg of reduced glutathione per capsule. The glutathione is obtained through a natural Torula yeast fermentation process and combined with LiposoMax™ liposomal formulation technology developed by a U.S. manufacturer. Sunflower phospholipids are used as the plant-based phospholipid source.

Each capsule also contains 55 mg of PUREWAY-C® vitamin C and 80 mg of plant-based lecithin, providing a complementary formula suitable for daily nutritional supplementation.

What Is Reduced Glutathione?

The chemical name of glutathione is γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinylglycine. It is a sulphur-containing tripeptide composed of glutamate, cysteine and glycine.

Glutathione occurs in the human body primarily in two forms:

• Reduced glutathione, abbreviated as GSH
• Oxidized glutathione, abbreviated as GSSG

Reduced glutathione contains a free sulfhydryl group and participates in intracellular oxidation-reduction reactions. After GSH participates in these reactions, it may be converted into GSSG. The body can then use glutathione reductase and NADPH to convert GSSG back into GSH, creating a continuous redox cycle.

What Are Liposomes?

Liposomes are fine encapsulating structures formed from phospholipids. As phospholipids have properties similar to those of human cell membranes, they can disperse nutrients within a phospholipid-containing formulation system.

The liposomal matrix used in this product contains sunflower phospholipids, rice bran wax fatty acids and citrus bioflavonoids. The formulation is designed to:
